"Then There Was You" was never a single, but for a 9-track album ("Mad Bad & Dangerous To Know") that produced FIVE singles, it still this could have been a possible 6th. It's a step closer to the sound they used on 1990's "Fan The Flame (Part 1)", very heavily influenced by the pre-disco Philly Soul music that was such a part of American pop culture of the mid-70's it's shocking to hear it replicated so well by a white, British star better known for his punk and late 70's disco influences. The song itself has no real deep meaning, it's just a simple love song- most of Dead Or Alive's lyrics were of a similar vein, Pete has said he never wrote anything down, he'd sing whatever came to mind over the demo tape, and just REMEMBER it. But that's neither here nor there, the end result is what matters.
