Lions mating & roaring HD (IR) NEW!

No visible lighting was used here and the scene was pitch black to the eye. An infrared camera was used so as not to disturb the lions with bright lights.
A mating pair of lions will usually leave the rest of the pride during their mating period. They mate frequently for up to a week, and at their peak, every 15-20 minutes. Gradually the mating becomes less frequent and after 3-4 days the lions return to the pride. Here the lions were at the beginning of their mating period and were mating every 15 minutes. Lions don't always roar after mating, but the growling straight after and during mating is very typical.
