RFK Jr. Launches New 'Healthy' Cooking Show Despite Critics Questioning His 'Upside-Down' Food Pyram

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. launched a YouTube cooking series linked to his MAHA initiative, a move relevant to ongoing federal nutrition messaging. The Real Food Show, part of Make America Healthy Again, features recipes under $5 per serving and emphasizes whole, unprocessed dishes. Episodes promote the administration’s “upside-down” food pyramid and updated HHS guidelines prioritizing proteins, fats, and vegetables over grains. Kennedy appears with chefs Andrew Gruel and Robert Irvine; the debut prepares crispy salmon cakes with an apple, white bean and greens salad. Medical organizations and nutrition experts, including Defend Public Health, warn the approach could raise LDL cholesterol and heart disease risk. The launch also renewed scrutiny of Kennedy’s stated carnivore diet, as the White House highlights budget-friendly techniques.
