'The View' Branded a 'Democrat Socialist Party Infomercial' After Research Found It Hosted 17 Times

The View faces heightened scrutiny as a watchdog report and an ongoing FCC review assess the show’s guest mix and regulatory status.

The Media Research Center report counted 87 liberal guests and five conservative guests discussing politics between September 2025 and July 2026. The FCC investigation examines compliance with the equal time rule, while Disney cites a longstanding bona fide news exemption for the ABC program.

MRC President David Bozell criticized the ratio, while the report noted non-political celebrity appearances were excluded. Disney, ABC’s parent company, defended the exemption’s validity. Vice President J.D. Vance said appearing on the program offered a way to engage across ideological lines.
