In 2014, Ponce City Market began to reopen the fully renovated Sears, Roebuck & Company building, restoring its prominence as a vital landmark in Atlanta’s burgeoning Old Fourth Ward. Linked directly to the Atlanta BeltLine, and situated across from Historic Fourth Ward Park, our iconic stretch of Ponce de Leon Avenue is a major part of the redevelopment movement at the crossroads of Atlanta’s most established neighborhoods.

The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive transportation and economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs currently underway in the United States. It is a sustainable redevelopment project that will ultimately connect 45 intown neighborhoods via a 22-mile loop of multi-use trails, modern streetcar, and parks – all based on railroad corridors that formerly encircled Atlanta. When completed, it will provide first and last mile connectivity for regional transportation initiatives and put Atlanta on a path to 21st century economic growth and sustainability.

Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s biggest city park, has several attractions for you to visit. From bike paths, trails, playgrounds, recreation fields to the honey bee exhibit and butterfly haven, there’s plenty to see as you stroll through the Park. Piedmont Park covers 200+ acres of parkland in the heart of Atlanta.
