Foods That Help You LOSE Weight and BUILD Muscle #shorts
To lose weight and, more importantly, body fat, we need to consume fewer calories than we burn while continuing to train, not only protecting our muscle mass but adding to it. Certain types of foods help us feel full with fewer calories.
The satiety index rates foods based on how well they satisfy the test subject's hunger. While they didn’t test every food, a clear pattern emerged, foods that contained more fibre, protein, or water were the most satiating and filled them with fewer calories.
Of the foods tested, at the top of their list was potatoes which is a great energy food that replaces the glycogen stores in the muscle that get depleted from hard training.
For a protein to help repair and build new muscle, it was a white fish, and for fruit, oranges just edged out apples.
Beef, baked beans, brown pasta and porridge all rated highly. Let me know in the comments what other satiating muscle-building food you like.
