Of God, Dogs and People: theology and human-canine relationships - Revd Dr Fiona Haworth
Café Théologique is delighted to welcome Revd Dr Fiona Haworth, Associate Priest at St Peter Mancroft, Norwich and Coordinator of the Ministry Experience Scheme in the Diocese. Fiona is a member of the Iona Community and is committed to working for justice, peace and the integrity of creation. She will be sharing from her PhD research into the theology of human-canine relationships.We explore how humans and dogs have co-evolved over many years;the role of dogs in sacred scripture;whether dogs are part of the Christian project of salvation;and ethics: how should we treat animals?
Café Théologique is hosted by the University of Reading Chaplaincy and is a space to explore contemporary issues from a theological perspective. All are welcome.
