Number 1 - Flipping items on craigslist - this is a great side hustle and has been around for age. In fact, I flipped items on craigslist when I was in middle school and high school, and even in a world where their dozens of hustle apps and ways to make money, flipping is still a solid way to make some great money. The process is simple - buy products and then sell those same products for a profit. Sounds easy huh? It’s easy, especially in theory - but even in execution, it’s not hard to make a lot of money flipping! My tip for you is to find a product you know well, try to find good deals buying that product, fix it up and then sell that same product for a profit.

Number 2 - Drive for Uber or Lyft - this is the no brainer option and everyone knows that driving for Uber or Lyft is a viable and potentially profitable option for a side hustle. It’s also widely known that right now may not be the best time to do this side hustle to Covid-19. But, with that being said, when things return to normal, driving for Uber or Lyft can be a great side hustle that you can do on your own time, schedule and you can make some solid money doing it!

Number 3 - Instacart - Instacart is a service that allows users to get their groceries delivered to this house. This is a great side hustle because it is a relatively new business concept and with Covid-19 it has gained mainstream popularity. People have had to deliver their groceries because of necessity, but even after Covid has passed, most likely there will be a lot of people who continue to get their groceries delivered out of convenience.

Number 4 - Ubereats, DoorDash, or GrubHub - On the same thought process as Instacart, delivery services like DoorDash, GrubHub and Ubereats is a great option because you can do this hustle in your free time, without having people drive your car and you can make a lot of money in tips if you can deliver food efficiently. This is especially good if you have an economical car!

Number 5 - Social Media Marketing - This is a hustle I have personal experience with. Companies, businesses, and entrepreneurs have really embraced social media, but the fact is the act of engaging on platforms like Instagram, Facebook or even Twitter is incredibly time-consuming. That’s where people like you come in! People who need social media for their brand, but may not have the time to come up with the content, post the content and engage with their audience often outsource this task to other people - paying people to manage their social media for them! You can check out this hustle by looking at UpWork or even reaching out to businesses directly.

Number 6 - Freelancing - This is on a similar note as Social Media Marketing, and that is freelancing is an amazing way to make extra money! Use platforms like Freelancer, Fiverr, or Upwork, and you can start doing freelance work at your own time, on your own schedule, and from your own home. Because of this leniency and flexibility, Freelancing is probably my favorite side hustle out there!

Number 8 - Dog Walking/PetSitting - for the animal lovers out there, this hustle could be a great fit! Apps like Wag or Rover allow for people to make extra money by offering dog walking or pet sitting services. This is a great option if you are someone who loves pets but may not have your own, it’s also great for pet owners because it gives plenty of options other than traditional boarding facilities.

Number 9 - Focus Groups - Did you know that when a company comes out with a new service, product or advertisement, they don’t just come up with an idea and then bring it to market. This idea, product, service, or advertisement is meticulously planned and focus groups are a huge part of this puzzle. Becoming a focus group member is a great way to make extra money because companies will pay you for your feedback on a product or service. These sorts of gigs vary in time obligation required, rules, and how much they pay - but they can be a great side gig.

Number 10 - Fill a Need! - Don’t over-complicate this side hustle process, and one of the best ways to make extra money is to simply get back to the roots of the business. Business begins when you find a need and you figure out a solution to that need and sell that solution, and getting back to the roots of the business and providing a service or a solution to a need is a great way to make money. Look on Facebook, Craigslist, or NextDoor and see if your neighbors or people are offering pay for services that they need to be completed.
