00:00 - Intro
What's up you guys! In today's video, we are going to be breaking down how RV sharing works and whether it is a better side hustle than Turo. Let's go!

00:54 - My RV Fleet
My RV consists of 2 vehicles, one of which is rented out full time on peer-to-peer RV sharing platforms, and the other is a campervan that has been under construction for...well...2 years. We've been renting our 29ft RV out on RVshare and Outdoorsy for just about 9 months and through this process, we have learned A LOT.

02:35 - How RV Sharing Works
Now the process of RV sharing is actually very similar to the process of Turo and Airbnb combined. You list your RV, guest books it and from there it is simply a matter of managing the listing.

03:26 - Cons
Now, when it comes to RV sharing there are of course pros and cons to the business. Let's first start off with the cons. The RV is much more intricate and expensive than car sharing. An RV is truly a home on wheels and you need to furnish the space accordingly. Managing linens, dishware, utensils, misc. bathroom supplies and more are a big part of the RV business and it is very time-consuming. Additionally is the key exchange process - Our Turo cars are done 100% remote which makes car-sharing very passive. But, our RV fleet is not which makes it more time intensive.

08:37 - Pros
The biggest pro of RV sharing is that you get to enjoy an RV for free, if you are someone who has wanted to get an RV but you have not been able to justify the purchase, this makes it a really big plus. The additional diversification is also a bonus as well.

10:50 - Conclusion
RV Sharing is a cool side hustle, and if you are someone who likes RVs and camping it makes it even better. But, at the end of the day, I still think Turo is a better side hustle for me and my goals.
