Sciatica

Sciatica occurs when pressure is applied on the sciatic nerve causing radiating pain. The sciatic nerve starts in your lower back and can radiate through your hips, buttocks and down each leg. Sciatica can occur suddenly or over time depending on the cause. The greatest risk factors of sciatica are poor posture, living an inactive lifestyle. Your occupation may also create a risk if there is a lot of manual labor. Raoul mentions how more and more people are working from home and sitting for hours. It is important to set a reminder everyday to get up, walk around and stretch.
