A recent study from commercial real estate firm JLL shows that 3 in 4 Americans polled, hope to return to work in an office setting in the near future

With the other 1/4th of Americans aiming to maintain their work from home status, the majority of people want to get rid of their cabin fever and return to an actual workplace, once we get rid of that thing out there.

JLL’s chief product officer Cynthia Kantor explained: “As we get further into the pandemic, the isolation and mental stress of working from home full-time is setting in. Now, there’s an interest in returning to an office with a desire to work from home one to two days per week.”

Meanwhile, we’ve talked in the past about the prisoners from the great state of California, that tried to take $1 billion in unemployment funds from the state, and already received at least $140 million in stimulus extended enhanced unemployment benefits.

Unfortunately, it seems like the actual number stolen from the state is nearly 3 times that $140 million mark, with $400 million already disbursed to fraudulent imprisoned unemployment claimants.

Senator Jim Nielsen was appalled by the news, stating: “Now we find out that this enormous amount of money has been sent out to felons. That is an absolute outrage. There should be more accountability and an oversight hearing on this.”

I sure hope that California can recoup some of these funds, and give them to the struggling unemployed citizens in the state that truly need the benefits.

Also, we talked yesterday about the weekly jobs report and how states were underpaying millions of Americans that were collecting PUA unemployment benefits.

The report demands that states repay these reduced unemployment claims with the: “greatest promptness that is administratively feasible.”

The GAO found that a majority of the states offered: “50% of the average weekly payment of regular compensation in the state, as provided quarterly by the Department,” for PUA claimants.

The problem? This number is usually less than the amount that unemployed claimants can claim based on 2019 wages, which were not used in many cases to save time on processing applications.

I just hope that the GAO can force the government to pay out the millions of Americans that have had their unemployment benefits reduced.

Finally, we talked about it earlier in today’s stimulus video, but a new disaster relief package was proposed by a bipartisan group of lawmakers, offering extended enhanced unemployment benefits until the beginning of April.

The new $908 billion stimulus package will include $180 billion for a weekly, $300 extended enhanced unemployment benefit through the end of March, with funds retroactive starting on December 1st, which is 18 weeks of payments.

Check out your state’s PUA or UI website, upload your employment history, and tell them that you’re currently out of work due to that thing out there.

In less than an hour in most cases, you could be eligible to receive a backdated unemployment check for up to $20,000.

To all of the gig-workers, self employed, independent contractors, 1099 workers, even side hustlers,volunteers and freelancers, the government did not forget about you and the PUA is your friend.

But don’t delay, as these amazing government unemployment benefits expire before December 31st.
