The leaders of last month's coup in Sierra Leone on Saturday
(28/6) denounced calls by West African foreign ministers to
impose sanctions on the country.
On Wednesday (25/6) the leader of the coup, Johnny Koroma, said
he disapproved strongly of the presence of the troops at the
airport.

levels of fighting between local forces. The situation is very
unfortunate because we thought we should all be working
together. Internal reports of ongoing fighting is mostly
exaggerated. Since we are not at war with Nigeria, we considered
it an illegal situation.. ;

democratic elections?";
