Exactech Knee Implant Lawsuits (July 2023 Update in Comments)

Exactech, a manufacturer of replacement products for knees, ankles, and hips, had to recall more than 200,000 of its products due to concerns regarding potential health implications. The recalls took place in June and August 2021, and again in February 2022. The FDA classified these as Class II recalls, which is a big deal - exposure to these products could lead to temporary health problems that may necessitate medical intervention.

The products under recall include a range of Exactech's knee replacement products, such as the Optetrak series like the All-polyethylene CR, PS, and UNI Tibial Components, HI-FLEX PS Polyethylene Tibial Inserts, CR Tibial Inserts and several others. In addition, the Logic series from Optetrak was also recalled, including the Logic PS, PSC, CR Tibial Inserts, and more.

The Truliant series, encompassing CR, Slope +, Slope ++, CRC, PS, PSC Tibial Inserts, was recalled too. From the Vantage series, the Vantage Fixed-Bearing and Mobile-Bearing Polyethylene Liner Components were also part of the recall.
