We are leaving the rest of this up. But we really missed the boat on which types of cancer were going to survive.

Thousands of Zantac lawsuits have been filed over the last 2 years alleging that long-term use of Zantac caused people to develop cancer. In this video, we will look at exactly what types of cancer have been scientifically linked to Zantac. We will also assess how strong the medical evidence is to associate Zantac use with particular types of cancer.

Following the discovery of NDMA in Zantac, a number of scientific studies were done to determine what specific types of cancer could be linked to the long-term use of Zantac. These studies looked at a random cross-section of 10,000 oncology patients and identified those who reported regular use of Zantac or generic equivalents for an extended time period. The studies concluded that people who reported regular use of Zantac had a higher chance of developing 4 specific types of cancer.

The 4 types of cancer that have been scientifically linked to Zantac are Breast cancer; thyroid cancer, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer. There is also additional evidence to suggest that long-term use of Zantac can be scientifically linked to liver and stomach cancer. NDMA is known to be very toxic to the human liver and the CDC has previously suggested that NDMA is known to be associated with higher rates of liver cancer. As new evidence emerges, additional types of cancer may be medically linked to NDMA in Zantac.
