Prof Rana Mitter - What does China want? China, Europe and Global Ambitions

In his address to the IIEA, Professor Mitter will outline what China’s ambition to become one of the world’s most important geopolitical actors might mean for its engagement with Europe post-Brexit; how the liberal world might fully assess which aspects of China’s rise should be welcomed; and which aspects are cause for concern. This talk will map some of the main areas of China’s rise and discuss possible responses from a rapidly-changing Europe.
