"Lullaby of the Drums" by Leroy Anderson
Composed for orchestra, Lullaby of the Drums was completed August 16, 1970. It is 3 minutes and 15 seconds long and was first performed on December 5, 1970 by the Waterbury (Connecticut) Symphony Orchestra, the composer conducting.
Released posthumously.
Leroy Anderson wrote of this work : "'Lullaby of the Drums" features timpani, snare drum and bongo drums in a somnolent mood."
….. and in keeping with this mood, my accompanying pictures aim to capture just that!.... Enjoy
