Noreen's Kitchen; How to Make Monte Cristo Sandwiches

Greetings! It's Sandwich night and tonight I wanted something hot. I have been wanting to make this for you for 2 years, but the opportunity never really presented itself until now.

This is a classic diner treat, a combination of french toast and hot ham and cheese. It was once served in very fancy restaurants as a fork and knife sandwich. I like to eat it that way. Traditionally served with cranberry sauce, any sweet fruity side will do. I have added the Dijonnaise as my own special touch and it really hits all the right flavor notes.
