A Retrospective Look At Buzzfeeds BAD Feminist Videos

From "videos games appeal to the male fantasy" to manspreading bad, Buzzfeed uploaded a ton of feminist videos to the internet that were met with a ton of criticism and vitriol. The subjects of Buzzfeeds feminist videos ranged from “feminists play GTAV” to “What its like to be a woman on Youtube”, all of which received the same pushback, which got me wondering if they TRULY deserved that pushback. So I rewatched Buzzfeeds feminist videos. They’re still awful.

In retrospect, we should’ve been harder on Buzzfeeds feminists for these videos due to them making non gendered issues gendered and seemingly just being the new wave of “video game bad” but because of feminism. Arguably, some of these videos aren’t inherently bad (by some read: one) but the points they’re making are just trash and about as thought out as a half baked conspiracy theory.

Basically, Buzzfeeds feminist videos were and will always be bad, no matter how long you wait to revisit them because the content itself is bad. There, I saved you 22 minutes.
