Living in the Country (Pete Seeger)

The preoccupation with Pete Seeger's politics and activism tend to obfuscate the high quality of his guitar and banjo work and his considerable musical contribution.

I first heard this played by Roger McGuinn of The Byrds. Leo Kottke also does a version which is more like Pete's original (both Pete's and Leo's versions are available on YouTube). My take on this is more like Roger's, but I tried to blend in a bit of Pete's terrific syncopation. The version presented here is in "Drop D" tuning.
