Brilliant Cooper with Gates Carbon Belt Drive & Shimano Nexus 3-speed

Brilliant bicycles is another brand from Priority Bikes. The Brilliant Cooper is their latest - and most affordable - bike. Brilliant bikes, like Priority bikes, are all centered around low maintenance with a Gates Carbon Belt Drive system and internally geared hubs. Brilliant bikes though are made with a bit of extra trendiness in their design. I own a Brilliant L-train bike and I love it - though I don't get it out much for fear of messing up the leather components or getting it too grimy. It's the bike I use when I want to impress or show up somewhere in style. When Brilliant offered to send a bike for review I had expectations that it would be a cheapened version of the L-train. Can the Cooper keep all the style cues of the L-train, but save money by replacing the leather with rubber components and reducing the drivetrain to 3-speed without feeling cheap?
