Priority Classic Plus Gotham Edition - An alternative to the IKEA Sladda?

The Classic Plus belt drive cycle is marketed as a great alternative to the IKEA Sladda. Since the Sladda recall, many are looking for a replacement. Fortunately, Priority sent me a Classic Plus to review and compare to the Sladda. This bike is the Classic Plus Gotham Edition. It's like the standard Classic Plus, but with some NY flair in the form of commuter handlebars and dual V-brakes

The bike features the Gates Belt Drive for low maintenance cycling. This also makes it a decent commuter bike, though some areas may find the 3-speeds limiting. Think of it as a leisure/commuter bike that's be retrofitted to also work as a commuter bike. It certainly looks good with the satin finish and gloss black branding. The ride is also as comfortable as you would expect for a bike that has comfort roots.

Is it worth $500? Some might balk at the quill stem, but personally I think it is an excellent choice if you are in the market for a belt drive bicycle, or craved a Sladda before the recall.
