Establishing Threesome or (Menage A Trois) Rules With Your Spouse

It's important to come up with some threesome rules for you and your spouse or significant other before finding a third person.

I'm assuming by this time, a threesome is something you both have decided and talked about.

Setting ground rules is a great way to protect you, your partner, and your guest.

It is crucial that all three of you are comfortable in this situation, and it is a good idea for all of you to have clear guidelines and expectations that are established before you do threesomes together, especially if this is your first time.

Here are important rules of a threesome (menage a trois):

1. Have your third feel included

Your third person is a guest in this situation, so it is important you make him or her feel comfortable in this setting. Make sure that they are appreciated and comfortable throughout your experience; it is just proper etiquette and nice to do.

You and your significant other are some likely very comfortable with one another and know what to expect sexually, but your guest is new to this experience.

In addition, you would not be able to have this experience as a couple if your third was not willing to participate. So show appreciation and gratitude.

2. Safe sex

Safe sex is something that should not be overlooked. If you have been in a relationship with your significant other for quite some time, most likely you do not have to worry about safe sex because you know your other half has been tested and clean.

But bringing a third person into the mix is always a risk, no matter how well you think you know them or how confident you are that they do not have anything.

Plus, sexually transmitted infections can always be in the dormant stage, so you won't necessarily see signs of an infection or virus. That being said, make sure you bring plenty of condoms with you. Anytime there is penetration, make sure a condom is used.

There is also a level of satisfaction knowing that everyone in the group is safe, which will allow you all to have a much more pleasurable experience.

3. Have a safe word

You never know how everyone is going to feel until the situation happens, so it is important that all persons are willing participants at all times. It is a good idea to have a safe word just in case someone feels uncomfortable or changes their mind at any point.

Having the option to leave the situation is very important because you want to ensure that all people are wanting and happy to be there throughout the experience.

4. Don't Use A Friend

Blurring the lines of a friend and sexual participator can get really messy. You don't want to do anything that can damage or destroy the relationship with your friend. It's better to invite someone into the bedroom who isn't already your friend.
