Little Red Schoolhouse Spelling Bee

How to run a spelling bee and a short demonstration.
The Little Red Schoolhouse program invites 4th-graders from across Marathon County to experience “A Day in a One-Room School.” Costumed re-enactors portray a teacher and students are invited to dress in period clothing and bring old-fashioned lunches in pails to imagine they are transported to 1904 for the day. The program runs in partnership between the Marathon County Historical Society and the Wausau/Marathon County Parks Department.
