India participated in the Russia–Belarus “Zapad-2025” military exercise with a 65-member tri-service contingent, alongside countries like Iran, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, and Mali. The drill involved over 1 lakh troops, showcasing nuclear strike simulations, hypersonic missiles, and large-scale war strategies across 41 training zones. For India, it offered exposure to Russian technology, multinational coordination, and counterterrorism training. NATO and the U.S. viewed India’s presence as problematic, while the EU expressed mixed concern but remained keen on strengthening ties with India. Strategically, this reflects India’s policy of multi-alignment—balancing partnerships with Russia while engaging in exercises like Malabar with the U.S., Japan, and Australia. Overall, India projected itself as an independent power navigating a multipolar world.

ভারত রাশিয়া-বেলারুশ আয়োজিত “জাপাদ-২০২৫” সামরিক মহড়ায় ৬৫ সদস্যের ত্রিসেনা কনটিনজেন্ট পাঠায়, যেখানে ইরান, বাংলাদেশ, বুর্কিনা ফাসো ও মালি-সহ আরও দেশ অংশ নেয়। প্রায় ১ লাখ সেনার অংশগ্রহণে মহড়ায় ছিল পারমাণবিক হামলার অনুশীলন, হাইপারসনিক ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র প্রদর্শনী ও বৃহৎ যুদ্ধকৌশল। ভারতের জন্য এটি ছিল রুশ প্রযুক্তি, বহুজাতিক সমন্বয় ও সন্ত্রাসবিরোধী কৌশল শেখার বড় সুযোগ। ন্যাটো ও যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ভারতের উপস্থিতিকে উদ্বেগজনক মনে করলেও ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়ন কিছুটা সতর্ক হলেও ভারত-ইইউ সম্পর্ক এগিয়ে নিতে আগ্রহী। এ অংশগ্রহণ ভারতের বহু-মুখী কূটনীতি ও কৌশলগত স্বায়ত্তশাসনের প্রতিফলন, যেখানে ভারত নিজেকে একটি স্বাধীন ও বহুমেরু শক্তি হিসেবে তুলে ধরছে।
