ভারত AK-203 রাইফেলের দেশীয় উৎপাদনে বিনিয়োগ করেছে আত্মনির্ভরতা ও সামরিক আধুনিকায়নের লক্ষ্যে। ২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে সম্পূর্ণ দেশীয় উৎপাদন নিশ্চিত করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে, যাতে বিদেশি সরবরাহকারীর উপর নির্ভরতা কমে। আমেঠির ভারত-রাশিয়া যৌথ উদ্যোগ প্রযুক্তি হস্তান্তরের মাধ্যমে ধাপে ধাপে উৎপাদন বাড়াচ্ছে, যা কর্মসংস্থান ও শিল্পোন্নয়নে সহায়ক। AK-203 পুরনো INSAS রাইফেলকে প্রতিস্থাপন করছে, আরও আধুনিক বৈশিষ্ট্যসহ। তবে যন্ত্রাংশ উৎপাদনে বিলম্ব হলে ভারতের সামরিক প্রস্তুতি ও কৌশলগত অবস্থান দুর্বল হতে পারে। এর ফলে অর্থনৈতিক ও আঞ্চলিক প্রভাবও হ্রাস পেতে পারে।
