He was renowned as one of our boldest aviators - Charles Kingsford Smith was an innovator and a risktaker. He came the first person to successfully complete trans-Australian, trans-Tasman and trans-Pacific flights. But pushing the boundaries also led to his downfall, disappearing during a flight from England to Australia, and believed to have crashed into the sea off the coast of Burma. Only one piece of debris has ever been recovered, but one man believes he knows where the wreckage is. This story originally aired in 2009.
