Melanoma is the most common cancer in Australians 20 -39. It claims more Australian lives than the road toll, yet road safety funding dramatically exceeds melanoma awareness and prevention funding. Without critical action being taken, by 2030 a further 14,000 Australians will die from melanoma. Professor Georgina Long is Co-Director of the Melanoma Institute of Australia.
