The first release from AVA’s upcoming album Máthair (the Irish word for Mother), brings together ancient text, melodies, tradition and style, setting a mood that instills calmness, wellness and togetherness providing the perfect backdrop for contemplation and meditation to escape the harsh realities of the pressures of our modern age.

The song is a new original by AVA with lyrics written in Irish and English and provides a
positive mantra never more fitting than for the world we live in now.

Máthair is a collection of songs inspired by and dedicated to; mother earth, her mother country, her mother language, as well as Éabha’s own mother, grandmothers and her newly discovered wonder of the joy of motherhood itself.

AVA is the name under which Grammy nominated Irish singer/songwriter Éabha McMahon presents her solo work (the phonetical spelling of Éabha).
