Exaggerating Color in Watercolor

If a subject seems a little mundane, all that might be needed to give it a more vivid and lively impact in your painting is to push the color and exaggerate the reflected light in the scene. Rather than just reporting the local color of your source, try utilizing a little imaginative, or intuitive color, for a more emotional punch.
