The government has decided to give permissions for shootings in several forest areas in the state in order to develop the tourism sector.

Forest department officials have identified 70 forest areas suitable for this. 52 urban parks around Hyderabad have been included in the list. Forest department officials and representatives of the Film Development Corporation have held several discussions and reached this decision. The opportunities for shootings in the identified areas will be studied.


The government has launched a special website named 'Films in Telangana' to provide the necessary permissions for the development of the film industry in the state through a single window. Permissions required for film shootings and theaters can be obtained through this website.

In addition to the dense forests in Vikarabad, Amrabad, Narsapur, Warangal and Adilabad districts, there are many urban forest parks and national parks around Hyderabad In addition to these, the forest department has decided to grant permission for film shootings in some other parks and forest areas.

Narapalli Nandanavanam has attractions like a deer enclosure, dense forest, children's playground, and a walkway between the branches of trees. Kandlakoya Oxygen Park has a dense forest area with more than 50,000 trees. Masid Gadda Urban Park is suitable for trekking along with hundreds of acres of greenery. A fee of Rs. 50,000 per day will have to be paid online to the Forest Development Corporation (FAC). Charminar CCF Priyanka Varghese has been appointed as the nodal officer for the implementation and coordination of this new policy.
