As always I like to establish a context for my trades. The markets tend to reveal the context for early trading in the pre-market. Today the market did produce a fairly small range which would provide reasons for the market to reverse when it opened.

Following a big bull trend day yesterday the big money was looking for a reason to take profits this morning and this was offered at a failure to convincingly break the pre-market highs.

The market produced a Failure Test which resulted in a double top and my first trade was shorting the market from the second high in the double top.

The second trade was a block break trade for trend continuation down to the pre-market lows.

Both trades resulted in 2:1 reward to risk gains and this is the type of reward to risk ratio that beginner traders should look for. It is the best way to gain exponential account growth.
