Is The Covenant Halo's Greatest Level?

There's a solid case to be made that Halo 3's The Covenant is the best mission in the entire game.

But I'd actually go one step further and argue that The Covenant may not just be the best mission in Halo 3, but that its mix of well-thought out game design, incredible variety and homages to previous titles may perhaps even make it the quintessential Halo level.

In this video, I take a closer look at the design choices Bungie made which make The Covenant so memorable, it's place in the series as a whole and examine in more detail why it deserves to be held in such high regard even when compared to some of the best missions the series has to offer.
