UPN9 News NY (May 21, 2002) - 3 stories - A possible suicide, a murder and medical malpractice.

Three segments from the UPN9 News broadcast of May 21, 2002. I believe the anchors are Rolland Smith and Brenda Blackmon.
*19-year-old David Freeman is found dead in a Scarsdale, NY public swimming pool, his body chained to a heavy metal picnic table. Residents David Fenton & Scott Kaufman comment on the tragedy. Judy Echavez reporting.
*Leonard Lanza, 20-years-old, is arrested for killing his friend James Curry, a 43-year-old Merrick, Long Island, NY resident.
*Thomas Pepper, an Islip, Long Island, NY resident, is suing Winthrop-University Hospital & Dr. Victor Gallo because a surgical towel was left inside his body following surgery for colon cancer. The towel remained there for 80 days until another hospital discovered it to be the cause of his subsequent medical problems. On screen interviews include Thomas Pepper, his wife Betty and the Pepper's attorney Robert Solomon. Matthew Schwartz reporting.
