Enrico Caruso High C - Faust (Gounod)

Some have claimed that Caruso as a tenor (the most common classification of his voice) did not "have" the "sacred" High C.
It is true that he had to work very hard to be able to perform the High C and that he at the time when he auditioned for La Bohème before Puccini said "Please don't ask me to sing the high C" - Puccini, of course, did not care about the high c and apparently after hearing Caruso sing mumbled: "Who sent you to me - God himself?"
The reason I upload this is that a YT-user as a comment to a digitally restored recording that I had uploaded years ago wrote this: "The purest and most beautifully delivered high C ever committed to record."
I think this restored original version is even better. Recorded 11. February 1906.
