Liszt - Galop, S218 (France Clidat)

A menacing piece with many traits of composition in common with the very late Mephisto music and the three late Csárdás. The quirky introduction sets the stage for the strange galop theme which becomes devilishly giddy through trills, polyrhythms, and wide leaps.
