These are the results of the imaging done of my knee in preparation for surgery, both my xrays and mri. My official impressions of my mri are as follows:

1. Small radial tear of the lateral meniscus anterior horn/body segment.
2. Longitudinal oblique undersurface tear of the medial meniscus posterior
horn.
3. Focal high-grade articular cartilage defect injury in the posterior
nonweightbearing lateral femoral condyle with associated delamination.

I'll be going over the basics of how to access your own MRI images if you happen to have MyChart. I'll go over the very basics of how I as a first year medical student read an MRI. I'll specifically go over how to identify a meniscus tear in my own mri images. However, BIG REMINDER I am a lowly first year medical student and realize I may have something wrong. I am far far far from an expert or a radiologist. This video hopefully is at a basic and understandable level to get an idea of an MRI or your own MRI from someone who also only really has a basic understanding.

CORRECTION: I misspoke and called the ACL a "tendon." It is obviously the anterior cruciate LIGAMENT (yes, I'm very embarrassed about this)
Note: For those that are new here, I'm not a doctor (yet). I'm currently a first year medical student at Duke University.
