EASY MERINGUE DESSERT | EID RECIPE
Eid Mubarak everyone!! This gooey, chewy meringue is the perfect recipe for you to take to any relatives house, wow your guests, or even just a naughty treat to enjoy yourself. Let me know how you find it - I've left the ingredients and method below :-)

MERINGUE | Serves 4-6
INGREDIENTS
- 2 egg whites
- 4oz golden caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 slightly heaped tsp cornstarch
- Fresh berries
- Cream (can be double, single, ice cream, whatever you fancy!)
METHOD
- Preheat fan oven to 100c on upper and lower heat setting.
- Whisk egg whites until stiff, you should be able to hold the bowl upside down without anything falling out!
- Add in the sugar whilst whisking, bit by bit, until mixed in
- Add in vanilla essence and cornstarch
- Whisk until a gooey, shiny, marshmallow consistency
- Spread out onto a lightly buttered greaseproof paper on a tray
- Place in oven for 1.5 hours, or until it is hard
- If you are able to turn the meringue over then it is done. If it is slightly sticking, then leave it on the paper and cut around the meringue. If it is still too wet, place in the oven for longer.
- Just before serving, sprinkle on fruits and serve with cream
