STRAWBERRY CREAM CAKE | IFTAR RECIPE

I'm back with a super easy dessert recipe that is perfect to take to someone's house for Iftar. The most unoriginal name, but the easiest to make, this strawberry cream cake thing is yum! Do let me know if you give it a go - I've put the ingredients and method below!

STRAWBERRY CREAM CAKE | Serves 8

INGREDIENTS
- 1 loaf of madeira cake
- 600ml single cream
- 170ml double cream
- 2 tsp granulated/caster sugar
- 1 box of strawberries

METHOD
- Place slices of madeira cake on the bottom of the dish.
- Pour SINGLE cream on top; enough to cover the entire layer.
- Sprinkle on 1tsp of sugar.
- Place sliced strawberries on top, using the end parts.
- Repeat layers with madeira cake slices.
- Pour over SINGLE cream.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp sugar on top.
- Place in the fridge for a few hours or up to overnight so cake can absorb the cream.
- Just before serving, spoon over the DOUBLE CREAM and finish off with sliced strawberries (the nicer looking ones!)
