How to Politely Decline an Invitation in Italian 🇮🇹

How many have you used before?

Here are 5 phrases you can use! Andiamo!

1. "Grazie, ma non posso." It means "Thank you, but I can't."
If you already have plans, say: "Ho già un impegno", which means "I already have a commitment."

2. If you're feeling unwell? Use: "Non sto bene", or "I'm not well".

3. Need some rest? "Ho bisogno di riposo" is your phrase. It means "I need to rest".

4. Lastly, a friendly rain check? Say, "Possiamo rimandare?" which means "Can we postpone?"
