Patron Saint Days in Italy You Should Know! 😇⭐️
Do you know any others? 😇⭐️
Il Patrono, or the protector, celebrates the local patron saint of each town. Originally religious in nature, now the patrono holidays are full of festivities like games, markets, and shows! Each city celebrates on a different day, but a few of the biggest and most important patrono holidays are December 7th, celebrating Saint Ambrose in Milan, June 29th, celebrating Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Rome, and June 24th, when Florence celebrates Saint John. There are many reasons Italians enjoy celebrating il patrono, but perhaps the best of all is the day off of school and work that comes along with it!
