Male Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher displaying and calling - Mozambique birding tours

The strange-looking Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher is a very scarce bird in Southern Africa. Here it only occurs in the lowland forests of central Mozambique, where listening out for its strange explosive calls is a good way to find this bird. However, it isn't common, and sightings are few and far between. They are a bit easier to see in other places, such as Uganda, or Ghana, but nothing beats the thrill of finding one of these where they are at their rarest!
