Metal Detecting 1883 Australian Marine Pilot Station: Garrett GTI-2500.

Metal detecting the site of a former Queensland Coastal Marine Pilot Station constructed in 1883. The Pilot Station was in use during the heyday of the Australian coastal steamer services during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Marine Pilot was embarked at this point for crossing the river bar and navigating several miles upriver to the town wharves. The Station comprised a Chief Pilot's residence and several small cottages for station staff.

The bad news: sorry about the video quality, the camera (with me attached) had a bit of a spill on the rocks early on and took some heavy damage. Video and audio went downhill badly after that. Looks like a new camera is on the wish list. The detector is OK, thanks for asking.
