Nasir Khan, the youngest Sarpanch of India, talked about how his life got transformed from being a notorious back-bencher to being the conscientious Sarpanch of his home village, Bijopur. He gives an important message through his speech; the message of ‘RESPONSIBILITY’- towards our country, and towards our villages. His ideas are what we need to keep our country’s soul alive. He is truly the ‘MODERN DAY SARPANCH’. He is currently the Sarpanch of Bijopur village, Faridabad. He has done bachelors in Business Administration. He has received the Uccha Yuva Shikshit award. He has done some explicit social work, including building 96 toilets in his village, and thus making it an Open Defecation Free village. His vision for his village is to ensure maximum literacy and hygiene for all. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
