What are the stories that define us? In his talk, Anthony Modesto Milian presents the idea that a person’s history holds meaning deeper than the surface level. Anthony proposes that we all become history at some point for someone in our future. Because of the power held in these experiences, he encourages us all to find the stories that define our cultures so that we can take pride in where we come from. Antonio Modesto Milian (Anthony), is an independent Fine Art and Photo Journalist photographer based in the Upstate of South Carolina. Anthony is an Inaugural fellow at The Greenville Center for Creative Arts and a grant recipient with the Chapman Cultural Center. Anthony's work can be seen in Geez magazine, The Greenville News, and Upstate Forever.
