Tesla May Build The Semi Truck in Tulsa as Elon Visits Tulsa

We don’t know where Tesla will manufacture the Semi truck. But CEO Elon Musk said Tesla would build batteries and powertrains for the Semi at its Gigafactory in Nevada, with the rest of the truck’s components being built elsewhere in the United States.

Yesterday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk visited Tulsa, OK, and thanked governor Kevin3 Stitt for hosting him in Tulsa. We know that Tesla is in advanced talks with Austin, Texas to build its Cybertruck Gigafactory in Austin. Although there are some difficulties with incentives as there are voices who oppose the Travis County giving Tesla tax incentives, still things look positive for Tesla building the Cybertruck Gigafactory in Austin. Yet, Musk visits Tulsa. Is this for the Cybertruck Gigafactory in Tulsa or Tesla may construct another factory to build the Semi truck in Tulsa?

A recent email from Elon Musk revealed that Tesla is ready for volume production with the Semi. His message revealed that other states would handle some of the production. Tulsa could be one of those states.

Tesla Semi production could also generate a lot of jobs with stable income into the state. So there may be a way for both Travis County and Tulsa to get some Tesla love.
