Takeda Castle Ruins - The Machu Picchu of Japan

Takeda Castle Ruins located in Asago City, Hyogo Prefecture, is known as "the castle floating in the sky," and as the "Machu Picchu of Japan" because of the way it appears to float on a sea of clouds. The phenomenon in Japanese is called 'unkai', using the kanji characters for cloud and sea, Takeda Castle is considered one of the top 100 castles in Japan.
