WATCH: Mueller's 'letter is a bit snitty,' Barr says

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., asked Attorney General William Barr to offer more detail about the conversation he had with Robert Mueller after learning that the special counsel had taken issue with Barr's overview. Barr repeated that Mueller suggested he was concerned about how the media was portraying the investigation, but Blumenthal noted that "there's nothing in Robert Mueller's letter to you about the press. His complaint to you is about your characterization of the report." Blumenthal called Mueller's letter an "extraordinary act," while Barr called it "a bit snitty," and said he thought it was probably written by a staff member. Barr also refused Blumenthal's request to hand over to the Senate Judiciary Committee any notes taken during his phone conversation with Mueller.
