UH-60 Blackhawk Takes Off from Small Ohio Airfield-Ohio Army National Guard + Osprey Flyover!

A little outside my normal railfan content—but this was too good not to film! 🚁

In June 2024, I caught a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter from the Ohio Army National Guard starting up and taking off from a small grass airfield in Mt. Victory, Ohio. The crew was friendly and even waved before lifting off—likely after making a pit stop at the nearby Plaza Inn, a classic Ohio diner known for serving travelers of all kinds.

The UH-60 Blackhawk is a versatile, battle-proven utility helicopter used by the U.S. military for transport, medevac, and tactical operations. Seeing one take off from a quiet grass strip in rural Ohio was a rare and awesome sight.
