Malcolm Turnbull’s ‘persistent attacks’ on Morrison and Abbott are ‘bathed in envy’: Jones

Sky News host Alan Jones says former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull’s “disgraceful comments” about Tony Abbott and Scott Morrison are bathed in envy and jealousy.

“I cannot be the only one tired of the frontal attacks made by Malcolm Turnbull on those who enjoy the public recognition that he craves but will never receive,” Mr Jones said.

Mr Jones said Mr Turnbull had previously “sensed” that he would "never become prime minister" when former prime minister Tony Abbott was accumulating success.

“He never cared how he got there, he approached Richo to get there via the Labor Party,” he said.

“But not for Malcolm all of those boring branch meetings on cold and wet nights.

“Malcolm did what he does best, stabbed Brendan Nelson in the back and became leader (of the Liberal Party), a hopeless leader.

“Then as now, the Liberal Party don’t want him; Tony Abbott became leader.

“When he eventually knifed Abbott to become prime minister, he only wanted the title, his picture on the wall, he had no idea what to do with the office.

“Turnbull failed again, Scott Morrison succeeded him.”

Mr Jones said Mr Turnbull is now “in bed with Kevin Rudd and the ABC” and they both “relentlessly attack anyone conservative”.

“The aim is never to debate but rather to silence through intimidation. Good luck. Enough is enough,” he said.
