Climbing Table Mountain

While you might have heard about ‘easy’ routes to the top, the effort it takes should not be underestimated.

Platteklip Gorge provides a direct route to the summit of Table Mountain from close to the lower cable car station. The views and scenery are fantastic! There is no prospect of getting lost, it is a well-marked trail straight up the gorge. However, the gradient is steep, with some big steps required and the surface can be challenging in places.
